Marvel

Marvel editions from Iron Studios and Sideshow Collectibles — 1/10 Art Scale pieces built to stand together, 1/4 Legacy Replica centrepieces, and Sideshow's fabric-costume Premium Format work. Prime 1 hold nothing under this licence with us at present. Almost everything here is forward-dated: you reserve now, and the piece comes to us once the studio has produced it. Every date shown is our delivered estimate, not the studio's factory date.

Building a Marvel shelf from two studios, not three

Elsewhere on this site the choice sits between three studios. Marvel is the exception: everything here comes from Iron Studios and Sideshow only. Prime 1 — the studio you would normally reach for when you want one enormous 1/3 centrepiece — hold nothing under this licence with us at present, and we would rather say so than let you scroll for it.

  • Iron Studios 1/10 Art Scale — the roster tier. Around 20–25cm a piece, and bases from the same line are designed to interlock, so a team assembles into one continuous scene rather than a row of separate objects. Iron release these character by character, so an X-Men line-up is a two-year project bought a piece at a time rather than one decision.
  • Iron Studios 1/4 Legacy Replica — where a Marvel centrepiece realistically lives. Wolverine, Cyclops, Doctor Doom at roughly 45–60cm, in the same finish and sculpting language as the 1/10 pieces below them.
  • Sideshow Premium Format — mixed media. Tailored fabric costume over a sculpted body, which reads better on characters with cloth in the design (Storm, Omega Red, Doctor Octopus) and adds a maintenance job the all-polystone pieces do not have. Fabric wants dusting rather than wiping, and no direct sunlight.

Three Marvels, three different faces

The problem specific to this licence is continuity. A single character exists here in comics form, in film form and in the publisher's alternate lines, and each is sculpted from a different reference by a different hand. A comics Cyclops built from the printed page and a Cyclops built to a film actor's likeness are not the same face, the same proportions or the same red. Put them a foot apart on a shelf and they stop reading as one character in two costumes; they read as a mistake.

The current Avengers: Doomsday wave makes this concrete. Iron are producing that roster in both Art Scale and MiniCo alongside their existing comics-sourced Marvel pieces, so you can end up with two Beasts, two Nightcrawlers and two Thors from two visual worlds. Neither is wrong. Decide which continuity a shelf belongs to before you reserve the second piece, not after.

Reserving from a wave that is still being announced

Much of the Marvel range here is announced ahead of production, with estimates running well into 2027 on the newest film-line pieces. A deposit reserves the edition; the balance is requested when the piece is with us and has passed inspection, not on a date guessed at eighteen months earlier. The deposit is non-refundable: If you cancel before dispatch we retain 10% of the price — for a deposit reservation, that is the deposit. Where a statutory right to cancel applies it is unaffected.

Everything is imported by us through official distribution with VAT and duty included, so nothing arrives with a customs bill. Buying direct from overseas typically adds around 26% plus a courier handling fee, billed after it lands. Estimates move constantly on a wave this new; ours sit on the release tracker with the date each was last checked, so you can tell a quiet month from an unchecked one.

Common questions

I searched for Spider-Man and found nothing here

Marvel sub-licences are catalogued separately by the studios — Spider-Man, X-Men, Hulk, Daredevil and Fantastic Four all appear under those names as well as under the wider Marvel banner. If a character search comes up short, work back to this page and filter from here.

Can I mix Iron Studios and Sideshow on one shelf?

You can, but they are different objects. Iron pieces are compact, all-polystone and built to sit together; a Premium Format is roughly twice the height and finished in fabric. Grouping by studio rather than alternating them usually looks deliberate.

If you collect across publishers, DC is the deeper catalogue of the two. The full studio ranges sit at Iron Studios and Sideshow.
