Halidom’s note
Marvel Premium Format Figure The Thing 55 cm is Sideshow Collectibles’ statue from the Marvel range.
This piece is still at pre-order: our distributor is taking orders for it, and it comes to us once the studio has produced it. The studio’s current expectation is Q3 2027, last checked on 29 September 2026. Studio dates on pieces at this stage do slip, which is why we show the history rather than hide it.
Reserve with a 10% deposit against £771.99, or pay in full and save 5%; the balance is asked for only once the piece is with us and has passed inspection. Delivery to mainland UK is included and, because we import it, there is no duty or courier VAT bill at the door.
Sideshow’s own statues are polystone, mostly at 1/4, and its Premium Format pieces are heavy for their size — check the weight against your shelf’s rating.

Description
Sideshow presents Marvel’s The Thing Premium Format™ Figure, ready to rock your Marvel collectibles display.
The Thing Premium Format™ Figure measures 19.1” tall x 14.02” wide x 18.27” deep (48.5 cm x 35.6 cm x 46.4 cm) as the ever-intrepid Ben Grimm rushes into action. A strong and capable space explorer, the Thing grapples with monstrous tentacles in a cosmic clash. No creature, big or small, from planet Earth or beyond, can defeat the powerhouse that is the Thing!
Based on the character’s appearance in Marvel Comics, Sideshow’s fully sculpted Fantastic Four collectible depicts this incredible astronaut running over the wreckage of a Skrull spaceship. Ben Grimm's unique physiology is rendered with immense detail using individually sculpted, separate — yet completely linked — rocks, showcasing that iconic orange form fit for clobbering. The statue base also places an ace pilot exactly where he belongs ... on an unfamiliar planet, once more experiencing an unpredictable outer space adventure.
It’s collecting time! Bring home The Thing Premium Format™ Figure by Sideshow today.
Size: 55 x 23 x 21 cm (21.45" x 9.12" x 8.18")
Care
Polystone and resin are heavy and brittle rather than flexible. Dust with a soft dry brush or microfibre cloth, keep the piece out of direct sunlight to protect the paintwork, and never use solvents or household cleaners on painted surfaces. Lift it by the base, never by a limb, weapon or cape, and take off any separate parts before moving it.
Delivery
Delivery to mainland UK is included on every reservation, whatever the price of the piece: there is no delivery charge at checkout and nothing added when the balance is settled. Most pieces ship with UPS on a tracked, signed-for service, double-boxed in the studio's own shipper; the largest travel palletised or by two-person courier, with a delivery day arranged with you. Once the balance is settled, dispatch follows within a few working days and you will have the tracking number as soon as the label is printed. Or collect it free from the Loaded Dice shop at 28 Holton Road, Barry CF63 4HD: tell us when you reserve or before the balance is requested, and we will email you when it is ready. We do not currently deliver to Northern Ireland or outside the United Kingdom.
Reservations & payment
Most pieces here are reserved ahead of production and sold by reservation, not held in stock. Pieces marked as available from UK stock, or as incoming, are reserved from an allocation that already exists and follow the same terms. Reserve with a 10% deposit and pay the balance only when the statue is physically with us and ready to ship — not on an estimated date — or pay in full now and save 5%. If a release slips we say so, on the release tracker and by email. The deposit is non-refundable: if you cancel we retain 10% of the price — for a deposit reservation that is your deposit; if you paid in full, 10% is retained and the balance returned. If we cannot supply a piece you have reserved, we refund everything you have paid in full.
