What "edition" means here, and what it does not

Every piece on this page is a reservation. Almost nothing in premium statues is made to sit in a warehouse waiting for you — a studio announces a piece, takes orders through a distributor, produces against that demand and ships twelve to twenty-four months later. We are not a stockholding retailer pretending otherwise. When you reserve here, the statue does not exist yet.

That is the honest frame for everything below. It also explains the language we use. A piece is an edition; while it is open you can reserve it; when the studio closes ordering it is sealed, and no retailer can reopen it. Sealed editions move to the Archive so you can see what existed rather than finding a dead link.

The three studios, and where each one is strongest

• Prime 1 Studio — the large end. Masterline tiers from 1/10 up to life-size, and the studio to reach for when you want one piece that carries a room. Also the longest lead times and the heaviest boxes.
• Iron Studios — 1/10 Art Scale, with bases from the same line built to interlock. The practical choice if you collect rosters rather than centrepieces, and the easiest range to house in an ordinary glass cabinet.
• Sideshow Collectibles — Premium Format work with fabric costume over a sculpted body, plus busts, 1/6 figures and fine art prints. The widest variety of formats of the three.

How a reservation works

You pay a deposit to reserve an edition, not the full price. The balance is taken when the piece is with us and ready to ship — not on a date we guessed at eighteen months earlier, and not on a schedule that ignores the studio slipping a quarter.

You can cancel at any point before dispatch and the deposit comes back in full. No fee, no restocking charge, no store credit. That is your right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and a good deal of this industry does not honour it — restocking fees, credit-only refunds and 48-hour cancellation windows are all common and all questionable. We would rather state the position plainly than bury it in a policy page.

Prices are in sterling with VAT and duty already settled, because we import as the merchant of record. Nothing arrives with a customs bill. Buying the same edition direct from overseas typically adds around 26% plus a courier handling fee, charged after the parcel has already landed — the arithmetic is on import duty and VAT on statues.

Dates, and how we handle them

Release estimates move. Every date on this site is our own delivered estimate rather than the studio's factory date, and each one carries the day we last checked it, so a quiet month reads as either genuinely no news or nobody has looked. Who we are

Halidom is run by the team behind Loaded Dice, an established UK games and hobby retailer. Asking someone to commit money eighteen months ahead to a brand with no history is a fair thing to be cautious about, which is why the connection is stated rather than hidden.
