Prime 1 build at a scale most studios won't attempt. A Museum Masterline piece is a metre of polystone with a footprint to match, and the price reflects the engineering as much as the sculpt. Everything here is reservation-only, priced in sterling, with duty and VAT already settled — the figure you see is the figure you pay.
Prime 1 sell across several tiers, and the tier tells you more about the piece than the character does. Working up:
Scale numbers are easy to skim past. As a rough guide, a 1/4 human figure lands somewhere around 45–55cm tall before the base is counted, and a 1/3 nearer 60–70cm. IKEA's RUDSTA tall — the closest thing the current UK range has to the departed Detolf — gives you roughly 45cm between shelves but only 5kg of load per glass shelf, which means most Premium Masterline pieces and effectively all Museum Masterline pieces need open shelving or a purpose-built cabinet. Prime 1 produce largely to pre-order demand, and announcement-to-delivery commonly runs twelve to twenty-four months. That is normal for the studio and not a warning sign. What varies between retailers is what happens to your money in the meantime.
You pay a deposit to reserve the piece, not the full amount. The balance is taken when your statue is with us and ready to ship — not on a date we guessed at eighteen months earlier. If you change your mind at any point before dispatch, you cancel and the deposit comes back in full, with no fees and no store credit. That's your right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, and we'd rather state it plainly than bury it. The detail is on how reservations work.
Release estimates move. Ours are updated on the release tracker as we get them, with the date we last checked shown, so you can see whether a quiet month means nothing has changed or nobody has looked.
Polystone is heavy, rigid and unforgiving of a drop — plan the placement before delivery day rather than after. Larger pieces arrive in more than one box and take two people to assemble safely. Anything with lighting needs a power source within reach of the base, which is worth checking against your shelf before the piece is in the room rather than on the day.
Every Prime 1 statue we list is sourced through official distribution. It arrives in the manufacturer's shipper, and we handle the import so nothing lands on your doormat with a customs bill attached.
For sheer scale and finish, few studios compete at the top tiers. But a 1/10 Iron Studios piece at a fifth of the cost may suit your shelf and your budget better. We'd rather you bought the right statue than the biggest one.
