Halidom’s note
This is Prime 1 Studio’s Scarlet Umbrella And Peony Deluxe Version at 1/7, made under the Original Illustration licence, in PVC. It stands 32 cm tall including the base, which is roughly a hand-span tall: two or three to a shelf in a RUDSTA-class cabinet. Our scale guide has the cabinet measurements.
Our allocation of this piece is currently spoken for. Join the waitlist and we will contact you in order if a reservation is released or another allocation becomes available. No payment is taken.
It is priced at £486.99. Joining the waitlist costs nothing and commits you to nothing; if a piece is offered to you, you decide then. Delivery to mainland UK is included and, because we import it, there is no duty or courier VAT bill at the door.
Prime 1 Studio, in Tokyo, works mostly at 1/4 and 1/3 in polystone, and its larger pieces are the heaviest things we sell — multi-box deliveries need two people on the day. This sculpt is offered in more than one edition; the comparison further down shows what each adds and what it costs.

Description
The highly anticipated "Scarlet Umbrella and Peony," a figure based on an original illustration by the renowned artist fuzichoco, has joined the PRISMA WING lineup!
Scarlet, once known in the Heian period as the "color of longing," symbolized feelings of love. The peony, often referred to as the "king of flowers," combines both splendor and a sense of modesty and sincerity. This figure meticulously brings to life the enchanting, traditional Japanese world that fuzichoco has so beautifully illustrated.
The large scarlet umbrella, a signature element of the piece, showcases intricate detailing, from its precisely aligned spokes to the dazzling golden butterflies fluttering gracefully around it. The regal pink gradient on the peony, combined with its carefully placed angles, captures the fleeting beauty of a blossom on the verge of falling.
The figure's exquisite features include accents of gold, silver, and red on the bangs, striking emerald green eyes, and cheeks delicately tinged with blush. Her soft, gentle smile perfectly mirrors the nuance of the original illustration. The richly detailed kimono, adorned with plum blossoms, the tech-enhanced sandals, and the graceful curves of her legs bring out the elegance of the character's pose.
Additionally, the base of the DX version, designed by Prime 1 Studio to complement the illustration, includes subtle peony petals that appear to be gently falling, enhancing the overall aesthetic. The subtle variations in the red and gold hues and the floral decorations evoke the essence of classical Japanese aesthetics, further enhancing the world fuzichoco has crafted.
This dazzling figure, a true celebration of traditional Japanese beauty, is a must-have for your collection!

Care
PVC and ABS are lighter and more forgiving than polystone, but soft PVC can lean or warp with heat over time. Keep the piece away from radiators, sunny windows and warm cabinet lighting, and dust it with a soft, dry brush. Never use solvents or household cleaners on painted surfaces.
