PCS Collectibles

PCS is the studio that treats fighting games and cult films with the seriousness other houses reserve for Marvel. Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, TMNT: The Last Ronin, Underworld, Vampirella — sculpted large, in polystone, with the kind of base that tells the story on its own. Reservation-only, priced in sterling, duty and VAT already settled.

Who PCS are

Premium Collectibles Studio began life as Pop Culture Shock, a California studio built on licences the bigger houses passed over — fighting games first, then horror and cult cinema. That is still its character. Where Prime 1 chases the widest possible franchise list, PCS goes deep on a shorter one: it has sculpted more of the Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter rosters than anyone, and it is the studio to which Sideshow turned when it wanted a fighting-game line of its own. PCS has been part of the Sideshow group since 2021, which is why its pieces share Sideshow's distribution and why we can offer them alongside the Sideshow catalogue.

The tiers, and what the numbers mean

PCS works in three sizes and the name on the box tells you which. The 1/10 scale line — The Last Ronin is the current headline — is the accessible tier: 20 to 25 cm, polystone, priced to be collected as a set. The 1/4 scale pieces are the studio's centre of gravity, typically 50 to 60 cm with a diorama base. The Epic Series is 1/3 scale: 65 cm and upward, multi-part, heavy, and the format where PCS's bases become architecture — Marcus from Underworld arrives on a ruined-crypt base that is a sculpture in its own right. Above that sit the occasional half-scale statements, such as the 112 cm Vampirella, which are furniture rather than shelf pieces.

Editions are numbered and finite. Where the studio publishes a size we show it; where it does not, we do not invent one.

What reserving from us actually means

PCS lead times run twelve to eighteen months from announcement, and because the studio ships through Sideshow, its dates move when Sideshow's do. Every product page shows the quarter we currently expect the piece and the date we last checked that with our distributor, and all of them are on the release tracker. When a date moves we keep the old one visible beside the new one.

You reserve with a 10% deposit; the balance is requested only when the piece is physically with us and has passed inspection. The deposit is non-refundable — if you cancel before dispatch we retain 10% of the price, which for a deposit reservation is the deposit. Where a statutory right to cancel applies it is unaffected. Duty, VAT and mainland UK delivery are in the price. The detail is on how reservations work.

Living with a PCS statue

Anything from the 1/4 line upward is a two-box, two-person object. Epic Series pieces assemble from several parts on a base that can exceed 40 cm across, and they need a solid surface — no glass shelf sold in the UK is rated for a 1/3 polystone statue. Our scale guide gives the measurements and shelf load ratings; for the largest pieces, plan the room before you reserve.

Common questions

Is PCS the same company as Pop Culture Shock?

Yes. The studio rebranded from Pop Culture Shock Collectibles to Premium Collectibles Studio and has been part of Sideshow since 2021. Older pieces carry the PCS or Pop Culture Shock mark.

What is the Epic Series?

PCS's 1/3-scale line: the largest regular format the studio makes, typically 65 cm and over with a full diorama base. It is the format PCS is best known for.

Are the editions limited?

Yes — PCS numbers its polystone editions. The product page shows the edition size where the studio has published it.
